Kate Hudson’s latest cleanse has nothing to do with juice

Forget lemons and cayenne pepper, Hudson’s latest cleanse is all about getting rid of stuff.

The actress posted a photo to her

of Japanese cleaning consultant and author Marie Kondo’s book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, currently no. 15 on USA TODAY’s Best-Selling Books List.

Kondo’s method for organizing takes spring cleaning to a pretty spiritual level, which seems a good fit for the free-spirited actress. Kondo's KonMari method requires the reader to go through everything they own at one time and keep only those objects that “spark joy.”

The book contains detailed guidance from Kondo for “determining” which items in your house actually spark joy. Good thing too, because without guidance our home would only contain practical things like Lilly Pulitzer dresses, Ryan Reynolds in his new Deadpool costume and pie.
