Pharrell Williams and Jimmy Fallon battled it out on Monday night's 'The Tonight Show.'

As an 11-time Grammy winner, you’d think Pharrell Williams would have no problem winning a music challenge -- but on The Tonight Show Monday, the artist met his match.

Jimmy Fallon challenged the Happy singer to a “Name That Song Challenge,” where the pair had to buzz in and guess what song The Roots were playing, one instrument at a time.

After losing the first two rounds, the singer knew things were not going his way, as his host and rival was celebrating his quick, and seemingly easy, wins.

“This is not going well,” Williams said, looking a bit discouraged.

Luckily, the artist got a bit of help from an audience member who shouted out the next round's answer.

“That’s what I thought, Bieber,” the singer said after hearing the hint.

“You can’t,” Fallon said, calling out the singer. “Your friend in the audience, somebody yelled, Sorry.”

“No no, she was apologizing for me not getting the song right,” Williams retorted.

After winning his first round, luck continued to turn in Williams’s favor -- but the jury is still out as to whether or not the late night host was holding back to help out his musical guest from losing too badly.

Either way, it looked like the two music lovers were having fun. Williams even broke out into strange, ninja dance moves after some of his wins.
