PHOENIX — The Adele show scheduled for Aug. 17 at Talking Stick Resort Arena has been been postponed due to illness.

Singer/songwriter Adele performs at Talking Stick Resort Arena on August 16, 2016 in Phoenix.

Live Nation says, "Please hold onto your tickets and stay tuned for updates. We apologize for any inconvenience. Refunds available at point of purchase."

Tonight’s performance was set to be part of a two-night engagement. Last night’s show went off without a hitch. The star was very talkative and her voice sounded bigger than ever.

As I wrote in my review: “Adele was in brilliant voice throughout. She's like a soulful Barbra Streisand, belting out her songs in an amazing show of force that somehow seemed more powerful in concert than it does on her recordings, which have outsold any other superstar in recent memory. And it was all in service to the songs, conveying raw emotion while filling the venue with breathtaking vocal performances that never felt flashy or forced.”

The singer posted an apology video on Twitter, promising to reschedule, and "come back and smash it for you."
