·A screen on a garage in the 3200 block of East Morris Avenue was cut Jan. 16 in a possible burglary attempt.
·Four sets of car keys were taken from a lot in the 3300 block of East Layton Avenue overnight Jan. 19-20. Each set will cost about $100 to replace.
·A 19-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at 6:11 p.m. Jan. 15 in the 3500 block of East Layton Avenue.
·A car stolen Dec. 7 in Waukegan, Ill., was recovered in the 2900 block of East Edgerton Avenue at 5:52 p.m. Jan. 19.
·A 25-year-old Cudahy man involved in a fight with a 56-year-old man was arrested in the 3800 block of East Edgerton Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. Jan. 22 on warrants for battery and disorderly conduct.
·More than $3,500 worth of items were missing from a storage locker at Ridgeview Apartments, 4565 S. Whitnall Ave., on Jan. 14. The locker was apparently pried open.
·A Greenfield woman reported her iPhone, valued at $600, was stolen from her car between 7:45 a.m. and 3 p.m. Jan. 11 while she attended classes at Thomas More High School, 2601 E. Morgan Ave. A window was smashed for entry, causing an estimated at $200 damage.
·Police are continuing to investigate an incident at Subway, 222 N. Chicago Ave., at about 6 p.m. Jan. 9. According to police reports, a Subway employee took $536.41 in receipts and brought the money to an unidentified man in Milwaukee. The woman said she was following instructions from a phone caller 'from corporate' who stated the money was to be given to a person who left his wallet at Subway and lost $1,400 in cash when the wallet had been returned. Police reports indicated that 'other suburban cities had the same type of scam.'
·A cellphone valued at $500 and $20 in cash were taken from a South Milwaukee woman's car between 5 and 10 p.m. Jan. 13 while she worked at Walmart, 222 N. Chicago Ave.
·An 18-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for retail theft at 1:49 p.m. Jan. 14 after she took $1,055 worth of merchandise from Walmart, 222 N. Chicago Ave. She was also cited for obstructing police for giving a false name.
·A 27-year-old Milwaukee man was charged with strangulation/domestic violence after an argument with his 28-year-old girlfriend in the 2800 block of South Chicago Avenue just before 10 a.m. Jan. 18.
·A 36-year-old South Milwaukee man faces state charges of operating while intoxicated after he was stopped in the 1400 block of 15th Avenue at 1:47 a.m. Jan. 17. He has three previous OWI convictions.
·A 52-year-old Caledonia man was arrested for operating while intoxicated at 9:12 p.m. Jan. 20 after he had gone into Oak Creek. He was also cited for involvement in a fight earlier that night at Jack's of All Trades, 2616 Fifth Ave. A breath test indicated a preliminary BAC of 0.12. The man has one previous OWI convictions.
·A 17-year-old South Milwaukee male was cited for trespassing after he was seen inside South Milwaukee High School, 801 15th Ave., the afternoon of Jan. 12. He had been expelled from school and was forbidden to return.
·A pickup truck stolen in Milwaukee on Jan. 17 was recovered in the 200 block of Southtowne Drive at 9:13 a.m. Jan. 18.
·Police responded to five domestic violence incidents between Jan. 15 and 21.
