·There was an unsuccessful burglary attempt at Lala's Place, 3470 E. Layton Ave., overnight June 2-3. Damage was estimated at $1,000.


·An unlocked car with keys in the ignition was stolen from the 5600 block of South Elaine Avenue just after 4:30 p.m. June 3.

Drug possession

·A 27-year-old St. Francis man was arrested for heroin possession after he was found unconscious after an overdose in a bathroom at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 3515 E. Van Norman Ave., at 7:55 p.m. June 5.

·A 19-year-old St. Francis man was cited for drug paraphernalia possession after a traffic stop in the 2500 block of East Layton Avenue at 9:47 p.m. June 6.


·A 41-year-old Cudahy man may face state charges of operating while intoxicated and resisting an officer, pending results of a blood test, after was arrested in the 3400 block of East Barnard Avenue at 9:29 p.m. June 4. He refused a breath test. He has two previous OWI convictions.

·A 23-year-old Cudahy woman was turned over to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office on a warrant for driving after revocation after she was arrested for operating while intoxicated in the 4600 block of South Kingan Avenue at 9:40 p.m. June 5. A breath test indicated a preliminary blood alcohol content of 0.19. She has a previous OWI conviction.


·Graffiti and a noose were discovered on a Milwaukee County Transit System bus shelter at South Kinnickinnic and East Van Norman avenues at 7:29 p.m. May 27. Cost of graffiti removal was estimated at $150.


·A 77-year-old Cudahy man was cited for disorderly conduct after he allegedly threatened an employee of Trustone Credit Union, 5570 S. Packard Ave., shortly before 10 a.m. June 6. According to police reports, he was called by the employee regarding a debt and told her he would 'blow your head off.'


No reportable incidents



·Police are investigating disappearance of about $3,000 worth of goods from an apartment in the 1100 block of Marion Avenue prior to June 2. According to police reports, a male resident returned to the apartment after spending several weeks in jail and found much of his property was missing.

·A 51-year-old South Milwaukee woman reported her $500 smartphone was taken at about 7 p.m. June 4 while she was shopping at Pick 'n Save, 2931 S. Chicago Ave.

·Seven darts with combined value of $250 were taken from a pickup truck in the 3700 block of Sixth Avenue between 2:20 and 3:50 a.m. June 5.

·A game system valued at $410 was taken from a home in the 800 block of Manitowoc Avenue overnight June 5-6.


·A 27-year-old South Milwaukee man was cited for disorderly conduct after he allegedly threw eggs at a home in the 700 block of Madison Avenue at about 6:30 p.m. June 7.

·Officers discovered a group of people playing football and drinking beer in Grant Park, 100 Hawthorne Ave., at about 2:30 p.m. June 8. After being advised that drinking in the park was forbidden without a permit, they dumped the beer and put away their cooler.

·Police responded to three domestic violence incidents between June 3 and 9.
