South Milwaukee — Molthen-Bell Funeral Home celebrated its 100th anniversary on July 25.

Mayor Erik Brooks presented to John Klein, the funeral homes general manager, and the entire staff of Molthen-Bell Funeral Home a proclamation from the city, thanking the funeral home for its longstanding commitment to the city and its residents.

In addition, a representative from the offices of State Sen. Chris Larson and State Rep. Jessie Rodriquez also presented Molthen-Bell with a Citation of Commendation Award honoring the funeral home’s 100 years.

In coordination with South Milwaukee’s Heritage Week, the celebration was attended by over 200 people with free food, dessert and raffle prizes provided by Molthen-Bell. Excess food was donated to the Salvation Army food bank. Part of the event’s success was due to the donations provided by the South Milwaukee Community and Business Association.
