South Milwaukee High School senior Jack Millane, 18, son of Carolyn and John Millane, achieved the rank of Eagle Scout Feb. 8.

A member of Boy Scout Troop 218, Millane built a new LED sign for St. Thomas Aquinas School in Waterford, Wisconsin. The project took a year and a half to build and fund, with a cost of approximately $18,000.

Millane was awarded the Parvuli Dei award in 2009 and Arrow of Light in 2010. He also received the Order of the Arrow Brotherhood in 2013 and Pope Pius XII Award in 2016. He has earned a total of 47 merit badges. Millane plans to continue his education at Cardinal Stritch University.
