Trump tacks a decade onto the 'havoc' of Obamacare

For President Trump, and those who consider themselves "victims" of the Affordable Care Act, it may seem like much longer than seven years ago that the health law commonly referred to as Obamacare became law.

That might explain why the president made a Trumpian slip Monday, accidentally saying, "For the past 17 years, Obamacare has wreaked havoc on the lives of innocent, hard-working Americans."

Trump's gaffe occurred during a White House speech admonishing Republican senators for their failure to pass a bill to repeal and replace the ACA.

"So far, Senate Republicans have not done their job in ending the Obamacare nightmare," Trump said.

Social media users reacted to the verbal flub with their usual measured understanding.
