Rajon Rondo: Bulls are Jimmy Butler's team

Veteran point guard Rajon Rondo, who recently reached a two-year, $30 million contract agreement with the Chicago Bulls, was officially introduced to the team on Thursday, and he's starting off the next chapter of his career on the right foot.

Rondo, who is in line for the starting point guard duties after the Bulls traded Derrick Rose to the New York Knicks, will join a backcourt of recently-acquired Dwyane Wade and Jimmy Butler. The Bulls also lost Pau Gasol and Joakim Noah to free agency, so Rondo immediately becomes one of the team's most experienced, battle-tested players.

But he isn't coming to Chicago with an alpha dog mentality, which — in the long run — could be a major plus given his lengthy relationship issues during his time with the Dallas Mavericks and Sacramento Kings.

Butler, 26, has spent all five of his NBA season in Chicago, so in Rondo's eyes, he's the leader of the newly-formed team.

"It's Jimmy's team," Rondo said at his introductory press conference. "Jimmy, Wade and then whatever after that."

Short and sweet, but music to the ears of Bulls Nation as the team looks to recover from a disappointing 2015-16 season.
