With the bulk of NBA free agency in the books, USA TODAY Sports explores how all of the offseason moves will alter each team as we look ahead to the 2016-17 season.

Projected starting five: Golden State Warriors

(Statistics from 2015-16 season)

  • Stephen Curry - Points: 30.1, assists: 6.7, rebounds: 5.4, steals: 2.1, field goal percentage: 50.4%
  • Klay Thompson - Points: 22.1, rebounds: 3.8, assists: 2.1, steals: 0.8, field goal percentage: 47.0%
  • Kevin Durant (with Oklahoma City) - Points: 28.2, rebounds: 8.2, assists: 5.0, steals: 1.0, field goal percentage: 50.5%
  • Draymond Green - Points: 14.0, rebounds: 9.5, assists: 7.4, blocks: 1.4, field goal percentage: 49.0%
  • Zaza Pachulia (with Dallas) - Points: 8.6, rebounds: 9.4, assists: 1.7, blocks: 0.3, field goal percentage: 46.6%

Added - Durant, Pachulia, David West, Damian Jones, Patrick McCaw, Anderson Varejao (re-signed), Ian Clark (re-signed), James Michael McAdoo (re-signed)

Lost - Harrison Barnes, Andrew Bogut, Festus Ezeli, Brandon Rush, Leandro Barbosa, Marreese Speights

Biggest acquisition - Durant

Coming off the winningest regular season in NBA history, the Warriors — a team that boasts a 140-24 record over the past two seasons — managed to land Durant, a top-tier talent, former MVP and one of the most gifted scorers in NBA history.

'Nuff said.

Biggest departure - Bogut

The offseason additions outweigh the losses, no doubt. But no matter the overabundance of talent on this Golden State roster, the Dubs will surely miss the luxury of having one of the NBA's top rim protectors as a defensive anchor.

X factor - Thompson

The 26-year-old sharpshooter has proven time and time again that he's capable of being a team's No. 1 option. But with Durant in the mix, opportunities to be the go-to guy in a starting lineup with three other All-Stars will be harder to come by. Alas, the good ol' "there's only one basketball" dilemma. Thompson insists that he's happy with the Durant signing and any sacrifices that may come with it, but only time will tell how he embraces what's sure to be a reduced role.

Offseason grade - A+
