Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners chair Connie Bisbee misstated O.J. Simpson’s age, bringing some levity to Thursday’s hearing.

“We have you as male, and we have that you very recently turned 90 years old,” Bisbee said as she read the particulars of his case. “I'm sorry about that. You look great for 90."

Laughter ensued in the hearing room in Carson City, as well as the Lovelock Correctional Center room where Simpson took part in the hearing via video conference.

“Feels like it, though,” Simpson said with a smirk.

Bisbee continued: “How about we take two decades off and call you 70?”

Simpson was sentenced in 2008 to a minimum of nine years in prison for taking part in a robbery of sports memorabilia dealers in Las Vegas. If granted parole, he would be released in October.
